Quincy Man Arrested After Early Morning Break-in, Fight
A Quincy resident got a rude awakening when he found a stranger in his house, police said.

QUNICY, MA — A Quincy resident got a rude awakening when he found a stranger in his house, police said.
Thomas Dimarzio, 33, of Quincy, was arrested early Wednesday morning and charged with unarmed burglary.
At 4:31 a.m., officers were dispatched to Summit Avenue for a report of a possible break-in. Police at the scene reported that the suspect, identified as a heavyset, white male, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, had fled the scene.

The homeowner told police that he found a stranger, identified as Dimarzio, in his house. The victim and Dimarzio engaged in a brief struggle, but Dimarzio was able to flee the scene towards South Central Avenue, police said.
While Officers spoke with the victim, Sgt. O'Donoghue observed a man identified as Dimarzio at the corner of Brook Street and Elmwood Avenue that matched the given description of the suspect. Dimarzio said was out for a walk and was on his way home. The suspect was taken in to custody and the victim was able to identified Dimarzio as the person who entered his home.

Dimarzio is scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court Wednesday morning.
