Quincy Officer Ordered Held Pending Hearing

QUINCY, MA — A Quincy police officer charged with barricading himself inside his Raynham home and threatening to kill an officer has been ordered held.
Keith A. Wilbur, 51, was arraigned in Bristol Superior Court in Fall River on charges of assault with the intent to murder. He was ordered held pending a dangerousnes hearing, according to the Patriot Ledger.
On Jan. 16, Wilbur barricaded himself inside his home and led to a standoff with police that included shots fired from the home. During a 3-hour phone call, Wilbur allegedly told police that he had "lots of guns and ammo" and warned officers to be ready if they entered his basement. At times during the first two hours, Wilbur talked about committing suicide by cop, according to a police report.

Wilbur has been placed on administrative leave pending further investigation. He is due back in court on Feb. 2.
