Quincy Police Seek Public's Help Identifying Break-In Suspect

QUINCY, MA — Quincy police are seeking the public's help identifying a man suspected of breaking into a North Quincy residence on Dec. 10. Police said the male suspect entered the house through an unlocked bulkhead door on Botolph Sreet.

Anyone who might have information leading to the identification and location of the suspect is asked to contact Det. Bill Monteith at 617-745-5767 or wmonteith@quincyma.gov. Tips can also be submitted through the MyPD app.

Keep your doors and windows locked at all times.

If you plan on traveling, notify a trusted neighbor. Ask your neighbor to keep an eye on your house and report any suspicious activity.

Never post on social media when you are leaving, or when you will be back. Resist the urge to post photos of your holiday fun on social media. Hold off on posting photos until you return.

Hide Christmas gifts and packages. Try to keep wrapped (and unwrapped) gifts away from windows and other places with a view. Consider keeping your curtains and blinds closed.

Give your home a lived-in look while you're away. Home automation technology apps can turn lights on and off with the touch of a button.
