BOSTON, MA — Turns out that you can't sue the president for $1 billion because you claim it's his fault that you are miserable.
Thursday morning, U.S. District Court Judge George A. O’Toole, Jr. dismissed Quincy resident Rossi Wade's lawsuit against President Trump and the U.S. Government. Rossi had claimed that the commander-in-chief was the cause of discrimination, mental anguish, and mental cruelty against her. The lawsuit additionally states that she suffered a loss of enjoyment of life and emotional damage.
O'Toole, citing the 1982 court case Nixon v. Fitzgerald, wrote that the president can't be held responsible for damage liability from within the "outer perimeter of his responsibility." (Want more Quincy news? Subscribe and like us on Facebook!)

"The President of the United States enjoys broad, absolute immunity from civil suits for damages for his official acts within the outer perimeter of his authority, O'Toole wrote. "Plaintiff’s remaining claims against President Trump fail. To succeed on a claim for negligence, plaintiff must allege a duty, a breach of that duty, causation and damage."
Rossi said Trump has been giving her nightmares since June 2015, and she is now under the care of a physician. Since the appointment of Betsy DeVos as the secretary of education, Rossi claims she has been only able to get two hours of sleep a night, down from four hours.

Claims against the U.S. Government were also dismissed.
‘The United States, as sovereign, is immune from suit save as it consents to be sued..., and the terms of its consent to be sued in any court define that court's jurisdiction to entertain the suit," O'Toole wrote.
The lawsuit called for damages of $1 billion, but for now she'll have to settle for complaining about the president on the internet.
