Rockland Man Indicted in South Shore Bank Robberies, Including One in Quincy
David Poulos faces charges stemming from alleged bank robberies in Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth, and Canton.

QUINCY, MA — A Rockland man charged with robbing banks on the South Shore has been indicted by a grand jury.
David A. Poulos, 29, faces three counts of unarmed robbery and one count each of attempted unarmed robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon. The indictment moves the case to Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham,according to the Patriot Ledger.
Poulos faces charges stemming from alleged bank robberies in Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth, and Canton. Police say Poulos' first robbery took place on Sept. 3 at the Rockland Trust on Washington Street in Braintree, where he gave the teller a note demanding $100 bills and no dye packs.

Four days later, he allegedly went to the Rockland Trust on Hancock Street in Quincy. Masked and holding a knife, police say he threw a note at a teller demanding money. After workers said the couldn't open the cash boxes. A similar incident took place the next day at South Shore Savings Bank in Weymouth and at the Bank of Canton in Canton on Sept. 8.
Police identified Poulos after learning that the same car was used at the alleged robberies.

Poulos' superior court arraignment has not been scheduled.
