Suspects in Quincy Robbery Refuse Arraignment
Cheryl Whittemore and Jennifer Donahue refused to appear in front of a judge after seeing a television camera in the courtroom.

QUINCY, MA — Two women charged in a series of robberies are being held without bail after refusing to appear in front of a judge.
Cheryl Whittemore, 46, of Quincy and Jennifer Donahue, 44, of Weymouth were arrested Wednesday at Donahue's mother's apartment Weymouth charged with receiving stolen property. Both were scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court Thursday, but refused to enter the courtroom after seeing a FOX25 camera. Judge Mark Coven said he would hold the women in contempt until they are arraigned.
The charges stem from a Monday night incident on City View Lane where the two allegedly stole a pocket book from a woman who was walking from her vehicle to her apartment building. Police say the two could be connected to similar incidents in Weymouth, Braintree, and Saugus.
