Three Arrested In Quincy Drug Investigation

A fourth person was arrested on a warrant, police said.

From the Quincy Police Department:

On Dec. 1, members of the Quincy Police Drug Control Unit were conducting surveillance in the area of Woodcliff Road due to recent complaints. At noon, detectives observed a man, identified as William Vieira, and woman, identified as Melissa Barkowsky, exit 67 Woodcliff Rd. Detectives observed what they believed to be a drug transaction between Barkowsky and another man, as Vieira acted as the "lookout."

Once the transaction was complete, Barkowsky began to walk back towards the residence as Vieira and the man walked towards the Shea Rink. Detectives detained Vieira and the man. Based on statements made to detectives, and the recovery of fentanyl, Vieira was placed under arrest. Detectives also stopped Barkowsky and placed her under arrest.
