Project Sales Associate Wanted

Position Summary:

The Project Sales Associate is responsible for managing and growing sales of commercial doors, frames, and architectural hardware on construction projects. This role focuses on contractor, general contractor, architect, and facility owner relationships—supporting projects from design stage through submittal, pricing, and final installation. This is a project-based sales role (not door-to-door sales) with a strong emphasis on technical understanding, coordination, and long-term account development.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, architects, and end users
• Identify and pursue project opportunities in commercial construction (new builds, renovations, tenant fit-outs)
• Prepare and submit accurate quotes for doors, frames, and architectural hardware packages
• Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and door hardware schedules
• Coordinate with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to ensure accurate takeoffs and pricing
• Manage project pipeline from bid stage through award and project completion
• Attend pre-bid meetings, job walks, and coordination meetings as required
• Provide value engineering solutions and product substitutions when appropriate
• Track project status, submittals, and approvals to ensure timely delivery
• Maintain CRM records, project logs, and bid tracking updates
• Support problem resolution during fabrication, delivery, or installation phases

Required Qualifications
• 2–5+ years of experience in construction sales, architectural products, or building materials (doors/frames/hardware preferred)
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and project flow
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with Division 8 (Openings) is highly desirable
• Experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, or architectural firms
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM systems (e.g., Procore)

Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of hollow metal doors, wood doors, frames, and commercial hardware systems
• Experience with manufacturers such as Allegion, Assa Abloy, dormakaba USA, or comparable product lines
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple active bids/projects
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through on submittals and documentation
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
