Elderly Man Killed By Snowplow Identified: Police
Police are investigating a fatal accident between a snow plow and elderly pedestrian.

READING, MA - An elderly man who was allegedly struck and killed by a snow plow in Reading has been identified.
Jacob Goldberg, 89, of Reading was allegedly killed by a snowplow Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Lowell and Bond Street, police said.
The victim was reportedly struck by a snowplow and was transported to Lahey Clinic in Burlington where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Police said the driver of the snow clearer remained at the scene following the collision.
“In the winter months the presence of snow and ice can be dangerous and cause numerous safety concerns,” District Attorney Ryan said in a statement. “This is a terrible tragedy and my thoughts are with the victim’s family at this time.”
