Reading Girls' Head To Billerica To Open Tournament

The Reading girls' basketball team earned the No. 10 seed in the Division 1 North tournament and will travel to Billerica for a first round game Tuesday. The MIAA basketball tournament pairings were released Friday.

The Rockets finished the regular season 12-8 and will face Merrimack Valley Conference power Billerica (14-6). Should Reading advance, it will face No. 2 seed Central Catholic on March 2.

The Division 1 North seeds are: 1. Woburn (18-2); 2. Central Catholic (18-2); 3. Masconomet (17-3); 4. Belmont (17-3); 5. Revere (16-4); 6. Lowell (16-6); 7. Billerica (14-6); 8. Everett (13-7); 9. Beverly (13-7); 10. Reading (12-8); 11. North Andover (11-9); 12. Andover (10-10).

Reading finished 15-8 last winter.
