Reading Police Chief Mark Segalla Placed On Administrative Leave

Reading Town Manager Bob LeLacheur has placed Police Chief Mark Segalla on administrative leave according to a release sent out on Christmas Eve.
The two-sentence release has few details.
"On this past Saturday evening I placed Mark Segalla on administrative leave.

At the same time I directed Deputy David Clark to assume all duties and responsibilities of the Police Chief’s position, until further notice."
Segalla has been Reading's Chief of Police since Jan. 1, 2016. Prior to that he was a 19-year veteran of the Reading police department.
