Celebrate 'Salem So Sweet' at The House of the Seven Gables

Fun and tasty family events for the family Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 6 and 7, 1 to 3 pm, at The Gables.

SALEM — Fall in love with The House of the Seven Gables all over again during Salem So Sweet’s Valentine’s Day-inspired weekend. On Saturday, Feb. 6, from 1 to 3 p.m., The Gables offers chocolate cookie decorating and a fun lesson on historic sweets with Ye Olde Pepper Candie Companie. On Sunday, Feb. 7, from 1 to 3 p.m., Salem Parks, Recreation, and Community Services hosts a family Valentine workshop at The Gables accompanied by lots of sweet treats. A local artist leads the workshop.

The Museum Store will be open all weekend. As part of Salem So Sweet, if you make a purchase at one participating business, you may then receive 10 percent off a full price purchase at The Gables’ Museum Store.

Saturday’s events are free of charge. The costs for Sunday’s events are $5 per person or $20 per family.
