Thanks to dogged detective work, at least three cases were solved in Salem and one case in Lynn, and there are some very grateful women have had their jewelry returned to them.
Salem Police had been investigating a rash of recent house breaks in the city, and had several strong leads which began to point in the direction of a woman known to them, and her boyfriend. Lynn police were also investigating a house break in which jewelry was stolen.

Detectives noticed that the woman bend over in the taxi as they approached.
Police lifted up the floor mat, and and found a blue velvet bag jewelry bag with jewelry in it.
The taxi driver told detectives that it was not his property. the couple had asked the driver to take them to RJ Coins. The Pickering Wharf jewelry store buys and sells jewelry.
Police also have two people who witnessed the pair in recent weeks. One witness saw a man and woman walking through backyards in the Witchcraft heights area, and called to report them.
After piecing all the evidence together, detectives believed they had the couple responsible for the house break-ins and obtained warrants for their arrests.
Jasmine G. Lincoln, 28, of Peabody, and Judson W. Meyers, 29, of Salem, were arrested on warrants. They are facing larceny and receiving stolen property charges, and will likely face additional charges as detectives link the couple to other incidents.
“The important thing to us is that those women have their jewelry back,” Lt. Prosniewski.said.
A woman who lives on Proctor Street was one of the victims.
“As soon as she saw the blue velvet bag,” Lt. Prosniewski said. “She started crying.”
The woman told officers that the jewelry was her grandmother’s, and was very sentimental to her. Other women were able to identify their jewelry.
The pair were arraigned in Salem District Court on Friday. Lincoln, who has a lengthy police record, had been jailed nine times, according to police. She was held on $10,000 cash bail. Both are scheduled to be back in court next month.
