SALEM, MA — The following are excerpts from the Salem police logs. Information below does not indicate a conviction.

Jan. 8

8:05 p.m.: Police were sent to Essex Street for a possible breaking and entering in progress. Officers spoke to a woman who was house-sitting for a homeowner, and that two males wearing all black had come up to the back porch asking for the homeowner. Police were not able to locate the men.

8:41 p.m.: police observed a suspicious vehicle in the Salem Willows parking lot. After an investigation, parties were advised that they were not allowed to be doing donuts in the parking lot.

Jan. 9

2:15 a.m.: Police responded to Washington Street for a commercial alarm. The building was checked and secured.

Arrests

Jan. 8, 10 p.m.: Herminia A. Espinal, 57, of Danvers was arrested for a marked lanes violation and operating under the influence of liquor.
