Gofundme Campaign Started for Victims of Halloween Weekend Pedestrian Crash
A mother and her twin daughters were severely injured after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Bridge Street in Salem Sunday night.

SALEM, MA — A gofundme page has been set up to assist with the medical bills of a mother and her twin daughters that were severely injured after being struck by an alleged drunk driver on Bridge Street in Salem.
On Thursday, Salem mayor Kimberly Driscoll shared a link to the gofundme page on Facebook. Driscoll added that the family was visiting Salem for the Haunted Happenings festivities.
"By now many of you may have heard about the family (a Mom and her twin girls) who were injured while crossing a street in Salem the weekend before Halloween," Driscoll wrote."Thankfully there was no loss of life, but there are injuries that will require multiple surgeries."

Reports indicate that the crash occurred when the three were struck while crossing the Bridge Street and Washington Street intersection. Police arrested Dexter Mitchell, 52, of Somerset Avenue in Beverly on charges of operating under the influence, failing to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk and leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury.
