North Shore Food Buzz: Restaurant Week Returns, Brisas del Caribe License Suspension

Salem

A restaurant in The Point got slapped with a three-day suspension of its booze license after a bizarre incident in which police responded to a 911 call at the location after hours. But the people inside Brisas del Caribe wouldn't open the door. Salem Patch has all the details on what authorities found after they had the Fire Department break down the door.

Marblehead

Italian food for a reasonable price in a family atmosphere might not be the most original restaurant idea — but it's working for the small Massachusetts chain Comella's. Their newest outpost is supposed to open any day on Atlantic Avenue.

Danvers

Loyal readers of the North Shore Food Buzz might remember a recent item we had about McDonald's — I like to call it "The Scottish Restaurant" — complaining about sales at their fourth Danvers location. They didn't think that the disappointing numbers were because they'd saturated the Big Mac market with four franchises in one town. Instead they fingered their lack of a sign on fast-food-heavy Endicott Street. Well, the sign they wanted has been approved. Danvers Patch has all the details.

Lynnfield

I can't think of bowling without it putting me in mind of my favorite movie, The Big Lebowski. Now we learn that the Kings coming to MarketStreet Lynnfield has been approved for an all-alcohol license. Which means you can order a Caucasian and toast The Dude at their bar when it opens in August.
