Gazebo Shrink-Wrapped on Collins Street

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:
Monday, Aug. 26:
- At 8:10 p.m., police responded to a past assault on Lafayette Street. A woman was placed into protective custody.
Tuesday, Aug. 27:
- At 12:10 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Essex Street.
- At 12:37 a.m., police learned that the gazebo at the playground on Collins Street had been shrink-wrapped. The DPW was notified.
- At 1:21 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Pope Street.
- At 3:04 a.m., police responded to a report of a person breaking into a home through the window on Heritage Drive. Raymond Recupero, 55, of 10 Kelly Lane, Lynn, was arrested on a charge of malicious destruction of property valued under $250 and for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
- At 6:11 a.m., police responded to a dispute on Lafayette Street. Keith Bourassa, 29, of 116 Lafayette St., Salem, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery, intimidating a witness and for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
- At 10:02 a.m., a Smith Street resident called police to report that his bike was stolen off of his front porch.

- At 10:38 a.m., a man called police to report that someone stole his bike from the intersection of Gedney Street and Holyoke Square.
- At 11:00 a.m., police made an arrest on Margin Street. Rodger Parker, 31, of 258 Eastern Ave., Lynn, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
- At 11:14 a.m., a Boston Street business owner called police to report that their front window had been shattered.
- At 11:28 a.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Federal Street.
- At 12:34 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident at the CVS on Essex Street. Deshea St. Jacques, 30, of 14 Cherry St., Salem, was arrested on charges of shoplifting merchandise by asportation and disturbing the peace.
- At 12:43 p.m., police responded to a complaint regarding a vacant house on Jackson Street.
- At 1:00 p.m., a man on Ravenna Avenue called police to report that he found a magazine containing ammunition.
- At 1:26 p.m., a juvenile was arrested near the intersection of Palmer and Prince streets.
- At 2:32 p.m., a woman entered the police station to report suspicious activity on Jefferson Avenue.
- At 3:05 p.m., two hypodermic needles were discovered on Highland Avenue.
- At 3:30 p.m., police responded to a reported fraud on Crowdis Street.
- At 3:58 p.m., police responded to suspicious activity at the High Street playground.
