Snowballs Being Thrown at Cars: Salem Police Logs

SALEM, MA — The following are excerpts from the Salem police logs. Information below does not indicate a conviction.

Logs

Jan. 10

7:39 p.m.: Police responded to the area of Mack Park for a reported snowballs being thrown at cars. The area was checked and nothing was showing.

8:12 p.m.: Police rsponded to Lafayette Street at New Derby Street for a report of a disabled vehicle in the roadway. The vehicle was off the roadway and in a parking space and the owner called a private tow.

Jan. 11

2:37 p.m.: Police were dispatched to the parking lot of Crosby's at 125 Canal S. for a suspicious male who appeared to be intoxicated. It was reported that the man had thrown out approximately 5 nip bottles out of his blue maxima into the parking lot. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

Jan. 12

12:05 a.m.: Police responded to a restaurant for a report of five males that would not leave. On arrival, a staff member met police outside and said the men had later left.

1:42 a.m.: Police were sent to Essex Street for a report of broken glass. The officer searched the area and located a store with a broken front window. The officer located the rock that had been thrown through the front window.

Arrests

Jan. 10, 2:30 p.m.: Thomas P. Donahue, 27, of Pioneer Terrace in Salem was arrested on a warrant.

Jan. 12, 11 a.m.: Curtis L. McLean, 60, of Margin Street in Salem was arrested on a warrant.
