4 Arrested on Heroin, Crack Cocaine, Charges
A Shrewsbury man and woman, a Paxton woman, and a Worcester woman all face drug charges.

WORCESTER, MA—
On Wednesday, June 7, around 1:30 p.m., members of the WPD Vice Squad patrolling the Vernon Hill area, looking for drug activity. While undercover on Fifth Ave., officers spotted a blue Toyota Corolla parked on the street that had just pulled off of Vernon Street. The officer was familiar with the car and the owner, and he is known for past drug investigations. The owner is known as Mathew Church, 34, Walnut Street, Shrewsbury.
Inside the vehicle were Church and three unknown females. Shortly before 2 pm., officers saw a man walk up to the vehicle and make a quick exchange with the woman passenger, then walk away and the Toyota drove off. Guessing that they had just witnessed a drug deal go down, officers followed the Toyota, and stopped it at Spurr Street by Providence Street. Hypodermic needles were on the floor and one was on the seat, loaded with heroin and ready to be injected.

The female passengers were identified as Anna Rydelek, 30, Walnut Street, Shrewsbury, Michelle Wylie, 29-years, Pleasant Street, Paxton and Lisbed Rodriguez, 34, Willvail Street, Worcester.
At this time all four people were removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest. The four were charged with Possession of Class A Substance and Knowingly being Present where Heroin is Kept.

A female officer responded to the scene to search the female prisoners. A search Rodriguez produced a large rock of crack cocaine in a knotted plastic bag. The crack weighed approximately 5.2 grams. Ms. Rodriguez was additionally charged with Possession of Class B Substance with the Intent to Distribute. The search also produced $226.00 in cash.
A search of the vehicle produced a block of a substance known as Manitol. Manitol is a cutting agent for cocaine.
The remaining passengers were searched which produced negative results. All four were transported to WPD headquarters for booking proceedings. The Toyota was towed from the scene.
The crack cocaine, the hypodermic needle with the heroin and cash were confiscated as evidence.
All four defendants were arraigned on June 8 at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
