3. A look back in history.Ā On this day in 1919, the Treaty of Versailles was signed by the Allied powers and Germany. It may have ended the war, but some believe the sanctions put onto the country contributed to Adolph Hitler's rise to power. The treaty was also signed exactly five years after an important event. The first person to name that event and add it to the comment section will win Patch swag.
4. Vroom, vroom. On this day in 1953, Chevy workers assembled the first Corvette. It took two days to complete the assembly and only 300 sports cars were made that year. Still made today, the Corvette was created as an affordable sports car costing a little more than $3,000 and it could go from 0 to 60 mph in 11 or 12 seconds.
