Sgt. Jeff Svendsen, one of the department’s newest supervisors, also attended the course and has now completed two of the three required leadership courses in the trilogy program.
SPD said leadership development opportunities help supervisors continue to grow professionally, strengthen the department, and benefit the community.
Shrewsbury police also noted that hosting the training sessions locally allows the department to receive complimentary training seats when courses are fully enrolled, helping provide professional development opportunities to officers at no additional cost to the department.
