Annie Comes to Oak Middle School

The production will be performed this weekend.

Students at have been working hard to get ready for their production of Annie, which will be performed at the school at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2.

According to Nancy Freeman, who is producing the show with Donna Nelson, the performance consists of 64 cast and crew members and 14 pit members including the music director Bryant Clark. Students began rehearsals in April, she said.

The play is based on the book by Charles Meehan, with music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin.

The show is being directed by Jennifer Micarelli-Webb. Maryfrances Fabbri is in charge of costuming, Helen Hummer is in charge of publicity, Karla Eversis is heading the programs and Kim Wackal is organizing the cast party, according to Freeman.

Tickets, which will be available at the auditorium door, are $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens and students. The school is at 45 Oak St.
