UPDATE: 'Bad Crash' Sends Three to the Hospital
A multi-car crash happened on Route 20 near Shrewsbury Village Shopping Center.

Update 3:15 p.m.: The Shrewsbury Police Department has released a statement say the crash involved only two vehicles. The crash occurred at the intersection of Route 20 and Valentine Drive.
"It appears that a 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche operated by John Ford of Worcester was traveling East on Rt. 20 when he attempted to turn left into the plaza. The other vehicle involved was a 2005 Subaru Legacy traveling West on Rt. 20 operated by Steven Diaz of Nashua, NH when the collision occurred. As a result of the collision the Chevrolet Avalanche ended up on its roof. The Subaru briefly caught fire but was extinguished immediately," the police statement said.
Three people were transported to UMass Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

Original post 1 p.m.: Around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, emergency crews responded to a multi-car crash near the entrance of Shrewsbury Village Shopping Center, reported the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.

A Chevrolet Avalanche overturned in the crash, which sent three to the hospital.
