Elizabeth Warren's husband, Bruce Mann, met with business owners at The Wellness Corporation as well as Dean Park Pizza before heading to Northborough at Cocobeni Confections for a small business roundtable.
Local small business owners praised Elizabeth Warren's efforts on behalf of small businesses and families across Massachusetts.
"Elizabeth knows that small businesses are the heart and soul of our economy. Elizabeth and I are proud to stand with small business owners across the Commonwealth to fight for a level playing field," said Mann. "Elizabeth wants to go to Washington to make sure our small businesses here in Massachusetts have a real shot at success."
While Warren stands with small business owners in Massachusetts, Republican Scott Brown continues to side with the biggest corporations. Last month, Brown made it clear he would hold tax cuts for 97 percent of small businesses hostage if millionaires did not receive an even bigger tax break.
Warren supports ending special tax breaks and closing loopholes that benefit only the largest corporations so that small businesses here in Massachusetts can grow and flourish, creating jobs and opportunities for the future.
Earlier in the day, Bruce Mann, along with state Senator Daniel Wolf, founder and CEO of Cape Air and co-chair of Small Businesses for Elizabeth, also met with a small group of business owners at The Wellness Corporation in Shrewsbury.
"We need Elizabeth Warren to be our next Senator in Massachusetts because she is the real pro-business candidate," said state Senator Daniel Wolf. "As the CEO of an airline with 1,000 employees here in Massachusetts, I know the true value of the private-public partnership that Elizabeth Warren aims to strengthen and promote. Elizabeth understands the difference between our many great local businesses, with all of our community connections and roots, and the Wall Street corporations. She will work hard to support those businesses on Main Street while keeping a watchful eye on Wall Street.
Since the launch of the "Small Businesses for Elizabeth" group in September, more than 700 small business owners have joined to voice their support for Elizabeth's fight to ensure that small businesses can compete on a level playing field.
