Shots Fired During Large Vehicle Gathering In Westborough: Police

WESTBOROUGH, MA Westborough police are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred Sunday afternoon during a large vehicle gathering on Research Drive, according to authorities.

Police said officers responded to reports of gunfire shortly before 4 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located evidence consistent with a firearm being discharged and identified a suspect vehicle connected to the incident.

With assistance from neighboring law enforcement agencies, firearms were later recovered during a motor vehicle stop tied to the investigation, police said.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.

No additional details, including potential charges or injuries, were immediately released.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available and once the investigation is complete, according to Westborough Police Chief Todd C. Minardi.
