Candidate for State Representative Hannah Kane's Campaign Kick-Off with Lt. Governor Karyn Polito
Hannah Kane kicks off her campaign for State Rep. for Shrewsbury and Westborough precincts 4 & 5 with honored guests.

Shrewsbury- More than 300 people enthusiastically filled the room at Acadia at Indian Meadows in Westborough to officially kick-off State Representative Candidate Hannah Kane’s election campaign on January 20th. Honored guest, Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, met with Kane’s supporters during a reception before speaking on behalf of Hannah’s candidacy. “This special election matters to continue the tradition that we have started here in Shrewsbury and Westborough electing responsible and thoughtful leadership. I know how hard Hannah will work for our district and how hard she will work as a teammate on both sides of the aisle to get things done because she has proven that right here in our own hometown.”
Hannah Kane is endorsed by Lt. Governor Karyn Polito and Former State Representative Matt Beaton, and is running to be the next State Representative for Shrewsbury and precincts 4 and 5 in Westborough, a seat that both previously held. Matt Beaton welcomed Ms. Kane’s supporters saying “I’ve seen her work ethic and her commitment to the community and I know that she is the right woman for the job.”
Ms. Kane is also endorsed by members of the Shrewsbury Selectmen Moe DePalo, Henry Fitzgerald, Jim Kane, John Lebeaux, and Moira Miller who all attended the campaign kick-off, along with being endorsed by Westborough Selectmen Denny Drewry and Ian Johnson, and Westborough School Committee member George Thompson, and by local business owners Lester Hensley, former chairman of the Westborough Economic Development Committee and current chair of the Westborough Planning Board, and Deborah Penta, current Chair of the Westborough Economic Development Committee.

Former Westborough Selectman Lydia Goldblatt, who is currently running for Selectman on the March 3rd ballot in Westborough, spoke at the kick-off, saying “There is a $765 million deficit in the State, so we are going to need someone like Hannah Kane to be in office with business acumen and a record of volunteerism in Shrewsbury. I know she will be very attentive to Westborough as Karyn and Matt were before her.”
Ms. Kane also announced at her kick-off that she was also honored to have received the endorsement of the Shrewsbury Firefighters Association IAFF Local 4613, who said in their endorsement “The Shrewsbury Firefighters Association IAFF Local 4613 are proud to endorse Hannah Kane in her bid for State Representative for the 11th Worcester District. We feel she has the experience having worked in both state and local government, and has demonstrated a long history of dedication to our community. Hannah’s work in Shrewsbury, and with tackling local issues will be beneficial in addressing our community’s needs at the state level. We look forward to working with Hannah to maintain the high standard of services the residents of Shrewsbury deserve.”
