Coronavirus: CVS Expands Testing In Shrewsbury
The Shrewsbury testing site will start testing people 65-year-old and older who are showing symptoms of the new coronavirus.

SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury's drive-thru coronavirus testing site will expand to offer testing to people ages 65 and older who show symptoms of the virus. The site opened on March 19 and was dedicated to first responders and health care workers who are on the front lines of the pandemic.
Based on FEMA protocols, symptom criteria include cough or sore throat, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, or a fever 99.6 degrees. Since first opening the site CVS Health has tested, on average, 200 first responders each day. The site does not administer tests on a walk-up or unscheduled drive-up basis.
CVS Health was the first national retailer to open a COVID-19 testing site as part of the company’s response to the epidemic.
