Coronavirus: Shrewsbury Reports 33 Positive Cases
Four more cases were reported on Thursday, bringing the total to 33.
SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury reported 33 positive cases of the new coronavirus in town on Thursday. That's an increase of four cases from Wednesday. The town said those who tested positive and anyone in close contact with them has been monitored, quarantined and isolated as each case dictates.
A COVID-19 information line has been established for Shrewsbury Residents to use at 508-799-1019. The line provides facts and information about COVID-19, how to stop the spread, what to do if someone is experiencing symptoms and quarantine information. The line will be available in multiple languages.
Shrewsbury was one of the first towns in the state to have a CVS drive-thru testing site for the new coronavirus. The site will be expanded to service people aged 65 and older who show symptoms of the virus as well as first responders.

There have been 7,738 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Massachusetts as of Wednesday. Governor Charlie Baker said this week a surge of coronavirus patients is expected April 7-17.
