Danielson Flowers Gives Away Roses Today

There's a catch, though. (But it's still free.)

Residents of Shrewsbury and the surrounding area will have a chance to spread some smiles around today, when hosts its 17th annual FTD Good Neighbor Day event.

Beginning at 8 a.m. today, Sept. 5, the family-owned florist at 660 Main St. will be giving away thousands of roses in bunches of a dozen, while supplies lasts. The roses are free to anyone who visits the shop.

Here’s the catch: Owners Carl, David and Judy Danielson ask that customers who receive a free dozen roses keep just one of the flowers for themselves and share the rest with 11 friends and neighbors, to inspire a spirit of sharing and togetherness in the community.

Danielson Flowers has been participating in the FTD Good Neighbor Day holiday, giving out thousands of free roses to the community, since 1995.
