Electronics Recycling Day Scheduled at Local Church

Since the town has cancelled its electronics recycling days, other community organizations are stepping up to the plate.

Due to budgetary concerns the Shrewsbury Health Department will be unable to hold an electronics recycling day.

will be informing residents of alternate opportunities throughout the year.

St. Nicholas Church Orthodox has set a date for an electronics recycling collection day on Saturday, August 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Items to recycle cost:

  • $5 each—computers, monitors, DVD players, stereos, misc. electronics, etc.
  • $10 each—televisions, appliances, washing machines, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, exercise equipment, lawn mowers & snow blowers (gas removed)
  • $20—large wood console television
