Elsie Kaye Artisan Gifts & Flamework Studio

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

The 2011 Summer Yard Waste Drop-Off Program at the Municipal Garage (211 South St.) will be open from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the following Saturdays: June 18, July 16, August 20 and September 17. Please note that: <ul> <li>no brush will be allowed.</li> <li>you should be prepared to show proof (for example: driver's license) that you are a Shrewsbury resident.</li> <li>you may not leave any yard waste at the garage when the drop off is closed.</li> <li>the 2011 Spring Yard Waste Pick-up Program has ended.</li> </ul>
