State and federal officials will hold a public meeting to provide information and answer questions regarding the recent expansion of the Asian longhorned beetle (ALB) Worcester County regulated area, now covering the entire town of Shrewsbury. DCR and APHIS expanded the regulated area by 12 square miles. The federal and state quarantine zone for ALB in Worcester County is now 110 square miles. To help prevent the spread of ALB, no wood materials are to be transported outside of the regulated area.
