Elsie Kaye Artisan Gifts & Flamework Studio

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

The Shrewsbury School Department has announced that every Sunday in December (excluding the 25th), parents (member and non-member) can drop their children at Shrewsbury Health and Racquet Club (SHARC) from 1 to 5 p.m. and "go shop, cook or whatever needs to be done to prepare for the holidays. This opportunity is open to children 6 months through 12 years." The cost is $15 for a member child and $20 for a non-member child. Parents should inform the staff as to the name of the school their child attends when they drop off and SHARC will donate $5 from the cost to your school's PTO.
