Guiding Good Choices® Parent Workshop, a five-session series, is being offered to parents and guardians of students in grades 4, 5 and 6. This program will be facilitated by the Shrewsbury Public Schools Health Education Department and has been funded by the Safe and Drug Free School, Title IV grant. These interactive workshops will present skills to enable parents and guardians to work together and to take action in preventing their children from using drugs in the future. Participants will learn practical skills to help strengthen their relationships with their children. The program is based on proven research and has a track record of effectiveness. The workshops will meet in the Media Center from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, March 30, April 6, April 13, April 27 and May 4. The program is developed with the expectation that parents and guardians attend all sessions.
