Indoor Seed Starting

If you have always wanted to grow your own food, herbs and flowers, join the Tower Hill Botanic Garden to learn several easy, low-tech ways to get started at home this season.  The Tower Hill Botanic Garden (11 French Drive, Boylston) is hosting an Indoor Seed Starting workshop on Saturday, Feb. 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The workshop will help you explore seed catalogues and show you how to order the best tasting and most floriferous options.  The workshop will also teach you about timing, techniques, record keeping, equipment and indoor light stands.

Each participant will transplant seedlings into larger containers to take home for further growth.  The workshop will take an organic approach to seed starting, including troubleshooting tips.  The workshop cost is $35 for members and $40 for non-members.
