Elsie Kaye Artisan Gifts & Flamework Studio

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

Joe Sawyer, Superintendent of Schools, will meet with the Student Council, the Student Advisory Committee and another focus group of students representing a cross section of the student body on Wednesday, Jan. 26. Following Tuesday night's discussion, Dr. Sawyer is interested in learning students' perspectives regarding the kind of leader they believe will be a good fit for the next principal of SHS. For those of who cannot attend the , Dr. Sawyer is requesting that students and parents take a few minutes to complete a short survey.  Dr. Sawyer will utilize this important survey to assist him in understanding what is important to parents and students regarding the role of principal at SHS.   The survey will be automatically sent to Dr. Sawyer's office by clicking on the "done" button at the end of the survey.  Please provide your input and <a href="https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/YHK5BMX" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">complete the survey</a> by Thursday, Jan. 27.
