Elsie Kaye Artisan Gifts & Flamework Studio

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

The City of Worcester's Division of Public Health is pleased to announce that, in conjunction with the Shrewsbury Health Department, the Worcester Police Department and DEA, a Prescription Take Back Day will be held on April 30, 2011 from 10 AM – 2 PM. We will be accepting any unused or expired medications. Simply drop them off at one of our 4 locations: Shrewsbury Senior Center, Worcester Senior Center, and Worcester Housing Authority at either 40 Belmont St or 1050 Main St. (for additional locations please visit <a href="http://www.nationaltakebackday.com/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">http://www.nationaltakebackday.com/</a>). Safe Disposal of Medications reduces drug abuse and protects our environment! Let's all help to make our community safer!  This program will be made possible through generous funds from the MA Department of Public Health (MA DPH) Bureau of Substance abuse Services (BSAS).
