Sherwood and Oak Middle School Student Auditions for Shrewsbury High School Musical

The Shrewsbury High School presentation of "The Sound of Music" is opening its auditions to middle school girls and boys, since seven of the von Trapp family children range in age from 6 to 16 year old.  If you have theatrical and vocal skills and would like to be part of this Shrewsbury High School production, you are encouraged to audition at Shrewsbury High School on Monday, Dec. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m.  The performances are April 8-10, 2011.

Requirements: Please see your drama or chorus teacher at Sherwood or Oak Middle School for a copy of a monologue.  The monologue should be memorized prior to the audition.  You do not need to bring or learn a musical number ahead of time.  However, you will be required to learn a song segment during auditions, so that we can hear your voice.  In addition, please bring a recent photo or headshot to the audition.
