Elsie Kaye Artisan Gifts & Flamework Studio

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

The Shrewsbury Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SpEdPAC) welcomes you to our workshop on Basic Rights:DENIED with special guest speaker Ellen Chambers of the nonprofit group SpedWATCH. This workshop teaches participants about law, policy, procedure and basic advocacy techniques to address the most common problems and regulatory violations that occur at each stage of the special education process. The material is presented in a meaningful context so it is easy to understand and retain and will give caretakers the ability to effectively maneuver around roadblocks that frequently deny children a free appropriate public education.
