Key to Awesomeness: This year, more student volunteers were needed to help with escorting children to class, helping out with the programs and lunch. "They were invaluable," said Jean Brunelle, summer enrichment program director. "The teachers couldn't do what they did this summer without them." Brunelle said the students were responsible, enthusiastic and really made the program fun for the kids. And they gave up their summer to help out at the school from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
