The letters of Julia Child are also available to lend through the library.

Each week, Shrewsbury Patch features new books, movies and music available through the .

Here are a few of this week’s new items:

  • Beautiful Boy, from Anchor Bay Entertainment. "Bill (Michael Sheen) and Kate (Maria Bello) hopelessly try to find some hint of an explanation after finding out that their only son committed a mass shooting at his university before taking his own life."
  • Black Adder Remastered: The Ultimate Edition, from BBC Video. This comedy series "traces the deeply cynical and self-serving lineage of various Edmund Blackadders from the muck of the Middle Ages to the frontline of World War I."
  • Bones: The Complete Sixth Season, from 20th Century Fox. "Forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) return to the Jeffersonian Institute, along with their team of investigative 'squints,' for another darkly humorous season of murder, mystery, controversy and chemistry."
  • Green Lantern, from Warner Bros. "Capitalizing on a charming performance by Ryan Reynolds, the feature-film adaptation is a big, messy movie that, at its best, generates a feeling of aw-shucks wonder."
  • Hustle: Complete Season One, Complete Season Two, Complete Season Three and Complete Season Four, from BBC Video. "The art of the con is not dead. You merely can not see it. If you do see it, then it is inevitably always too late."
  • The Thing - Collector's Edition, from Universal. "Director John Carpenter and special makeup effects master Rob Bottin teamed up for this 1982 remake of the 1951 science fiction classic The Thing from Another World, and the result is a mixed blessing. It's got moments of highly effective terror and spine-tingling suspense, but it's mostly a showcase for some of the goriest and most horrifically grotesque makeup effects ever created for a movie."

  • Horrible Bosses, from New Line Cinema. "Three friends, Nick (Jason Bateman), Kurt (Jason Sudeikis), and Dale (Charlie Day), commiserate about their three respective Horrible Bosses ... Nick's boss is Dave (Kevin Spacey, terrific), a control-freak megalomaniac. Kurt's is Bobby (an almost unrecognizable Colin Farrell), a skeevy cokehead."
  • Ronald Reagan: 100 Years: Official Centennial Edition from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation (Electronic Format), by Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation. "Envisioned as the official centennial publication of Ronald Reagan's birth, Ronald Reagan: A Tribute to an American Hero is an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at one of America's most beloved icons."
  • As Always, Julia: The Letters of Julia Child and Avis DeVoto, selected and edited by Joan Reardon. "More than 200 letters exchanged between Julia and Avis DeVoto, her friend and unofficial literary agent memorably introduced in the hit movie Julie & Julia, open the window on Julia’s deepest thoughts and feelings."
  • Your MBA Game Plan, Third Edition: Proven Strategies for Getting Into the Top Business Schools, by Omari Bouknight. "This third edition of Your MBA Game Plan includes even more sample essays and resumes from successful applicants, fresh insight on 35 leading business schools from around the world, and advice specifically tailored to international applicants."
