Elsie Kaye Artisan Gifts & Flamework Studio

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

The music was spectacular, and the mood joyous as the class of 2011 received their diplomas. The event, which was held in the Hart Center of Holy Cross in Worcester, was a time of joyous reflection for the students on Sunday morning. The Most Reverend Robert J. McManus presented the young men with their diplomas with the help of student readers, Sean Donnelly, Maxwell Menard, Stephen Walsh and Matthew Williams. Michael Welsh, headmaster, presented the awards while the family and friends waited patiently for the end of the ceremony to cheer uproariously.
