In Court: Sentencing for Drugs, A&B Charges Dismissed

The following cases were heard in Westborough District Court.

Thursday, Oct. 4 

Margaret Dyer, 45, of 1 South St., Apt. 3, Northborough, was summonsed on a complaint issued by Westborough police on charges of operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating with a suspended registration and unregistered motor vehicle. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the first two charges upon payment of $600 in court costs and found Dyer not responsible on the charge of operating an unregistered motor vehicle. 

Wayland Williams, 42, of 180 E. Main St., Westborough, was summonsed on a complaint from the Westborough police department to face charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the charge upon payment of $100 in court costs.

Tomasz M. Warchol, 25, of 177 South St., Northborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint from the Northborough police department to face charges of operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating with a suspended registration and no inspection sticker. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the charges of operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating with a suspended registration and found Warchol not responsible on the other two charges. 

Judge Robert Calagione dismissed assault and battery charges brought by Shrewsbury police against Tara Preble, 32, of 7 Old Brook Cir., Shrewsbury. Prosecutors said in a court filing that the allege victim in the case asked for charges to be dropped.

Judge Vito Virzi found Carmen Irr, 25, of 281 Shrewsbury St., Worcester, guilty of possession of class E substances, based on charges brought by Shrewsbury police. Irr was sentenced to one year of probation.  

Jacob Shea, 18, of 4 Venus Dr., Shrewsbury, was arrested by Shrewsbury police and charged with possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute and carrying a dangerous weapon. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the possession charge. A modified charge of possession of a BB gun was  continued without a finding for six months, with Shea subject to six months of supervised probation, ordered to perform 20 hours of community service and ordered to undergo period drug screening. 

Sean. T. Kelly, 18, of 36 Grafton St., Shrewsbury, was  was arrested by Shrewsbury police and charged with possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute and carrying a dangerous weapon. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the possession charge. A modified charge of possession of a BB gun was continued without a finding for six months, with Kelly subject to six months of supervised probation, ordered to perform 20 hours of community service and ordered to undergo period drug screening.
