Letter: Endorsement For Beth Casavant For Shrewsbury Select Board

The following letter was submitted to Shrewsbury Patch by Victoria Pitney.

I enthusiastically endorse Beth Casavant as a candidate for the Shrewsbury Select Board. Beth has worked tirelessly for the residents of Shrewsbury, and I am excited to cast my vote for her re-election.

During her most recent term, one of Beth’s most significant accomplishments has been ensuring the town’s financial stability. Shrewsbury is now entering its sixth year since the passage of the 2021 operational override-two years longer than originally promised. This reflects Beth’s commitment to thoughtful long-term planning and responsible budgeting.

Beth also places a strong emphasis on community engagement. She has worked hard to strengthen communication within town, particularly between the residents and Select Board. She played a key role in the development of the town newsletter to keep residents informed about recent events, and also worked to implement other platforms such as monthly Select Board office hours and public comment at Select Board meetings, providing residents with an opportunity to share their perspectives. Beth always welcomes and encourages input from all residents.
