Library Opposers Thank Voters

Though the vote was close, some in town are happy the new library project didn't pass.

On Saturday, Nov. 5, Shrewsbury for Responsible Taxation (SRT) gathered at the intersection of Rt. 140 and Main Street to thank the voters for defeating Question 1 at the Oct. 18 Shrewsbury special election.

SRT Member Dr. Charles Garabedian is shown with his homemade sign. A contingent of SRT members is in the background standing in front of the Shrewsbury Public Library.

Founded in 2005, SRT is a nonprofit group dedicated to supporting responsible municipal revenue and spending policies.
