Man to Be Charged with Shrewsbury Break-ins

Fingerprint helped to identify suspect, said police.

A Worcester man will be charged with breaking and entering into a home on Dover Way in Westborough and stealing several pieces of jewelry along with break-ins in Shrewsbury.

Chief Alan Gordon reported that a fingerprint from the home led police to Oliver A. Ramos, 22, of 60 Vernon St., #3, in Worcester.

At about 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, a house cleaner called police to report that a home she was to clean had been broken into. An investigation showed that the home was entered through an unlocked rear window.

Det. Steven Tompkins located the fingerprint at the rear window and submitted it to the Massachusetts State Police lab for analysis. Lab officials reported that the print belonged to Ramos.

“After interviewing Ramos, he will be charged with breaking and entering a dwelling during the daytime, larceny over $250 and malicious destruction of property,” said Gordon in a statement. “Additionally, he admitted to numerous breaks in Shrewsbury.”
