Elsie Kaye Artisan Gifts & Flamework Studio

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

SHREWSBURY, MA — Nomination papers are officially available for Shrewsbury's Annual Town Election. The election is set for May 5 but nomination papers are due in the Town Clerk's office by 5 p.m. on March 17.A minimum of fifty signatures of Shrewsbury voters are required for all positions other than town meeting member. Town meeting member candidates must submit a minimum of ten signatures of registered voters who reside in the candidate's precinct.If you have any questions, please contact the Town Clerk's office at (508)841-8507.
