Noodle Day and Fire Prevention Week Collide
So what does that mean? For one, the Shrewsbury firefighters will be taking part in a noodle eating contest.

Noodles & Company is hosting a noodle-eating contest where Shrewsbury fire fighters will compete against each other to celebrate National Noodle Day and in observance of National Fire Prevention Awareness Week.
The fire fighters step up to the plate, literally, in a relay style race to finish a variety of noodle dishes from around the globe featured on Noodles & Company’s menu from Buffalo Mac and Cheese to Beef Stroganoff.
The firefighter who finishes with the fastest time will receive a check for $1,500 made out to the charity of his/her choice. Later that day, the Shrewsbury Fire Department will have a fire truck on display in the parking lot outside of Noodles & Company for children to explore and for photos.
