Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

Learning First Charter Public School

All are invited to the new Campus Green at for three evenings of music outdoors in July. Outdoor concerts will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, July 12, 19 and 26, at 378 Main St., Shrewsbury. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy a summer evening outdoors with fine music. In the event of rain, the concerts will be held indoors in Remillard Hall, part of the Ryken Center building adjacent to the Campus Green. Admission and parking are free. Performers on July 12 will be students from the Saint John's Jazz Combo. On July 19, the Jazz Combo will be joined by the Saint John's Chorus. For the final concert, July 26, musicians from the Saint John's faculty will perform. This is the first summer for the Saint John's Campus Green, the centerpiece lawn that connects the school's three academic buildings, Conal Hall, Flavian Hall and the Ryken Center. The Green, which took the place of a parking lot, was built last summer and dedicated at the Mass of the Holy Spirit in September 2010.
