Police Log: Calls for Sinking Boat, Passengers Sent to Hospital

The Shrewsbury PD supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Aug. 20

  • At 1:09 a.m., police received multiple calls for a boat that is sinking with passengers on board. Four patients transported to UMass.
  • At 2:10 a.m., police responded to a call reporting an erratic driver on Boylston Street
  • At 9:30 a.m., larceny is reported, Lake Street
  • At 10:10 a.m., a resident requested medics for a 42-year-old male who was belligerent and detoxing from alcohol, Sheridan Dive
  • At 4:45 p.m., a resident of Worthington Ave. reported the theft of jewelry
  • At 6:09 p.m., a person from South Street reported harassing phone calls
  • At 6:26 p.m., a person from Checkerberry Lane called to report something in relation to a dog. A second caller reported that the person was hurt after she fell when getting entangled in a leash.
